About Faculty Recital: Dr. Eric High
The Music program presents Dr. Eric High, Trombone, in a faculty recital, with Mrs. Elaine Moss.
Dr. Eric High's faculty bass trombone recital will feature music by composers from the world over. Works by Tony Plog (American ex-pat now living in Germany), Dmitri Shostakovich (the former Soviet Union), Ralph Vaughan Williams (England), Eugene Bozza (France), Frigyes Hidas (Hungary), Eduard Lasses (Belgium), and Eric Ewazen (United States) will be performed. The very talented Mrs. Elaine Moss will accompany Dr. High from the piano. Come and spend the evening listening to some music for bass trombone and piano in Birder Hall, just west of the St. Norbert College Campus.
Presented by St. Norbert College Music
The overall mission of the St. Norbert College Music Department is the preparation of students for careers in teaching, performance and related music professions. All St. Norbert College students have an opportunity to enrich their musical understanding and sensitivity through courses in music appreciation, theory, history and music performance. Music is not merely a skill to be mastered but can be considered more deeply as an expression of the feelings, values and aspirations found throughout human history. Our curriculum exposes students to music of different eras, religious beliefs and cultures with the purpose of developing understanding and a lifelong appreciation of the musical arts.
